Founding roadmap

From organising to registration

  1. Convene the founding group. Confirm the proposed name, registered-office state, industries and initial membership base.
  2. Draft the constitution. Set membership and dues rules, elections, duties of office-bearers, financial controls and how grievances are handled.
  3. Confirm the filing route. Ask the competent Registrar of Trade Unions to confirm jurisdiction, membership thresholds, forms and supporting records under the applicable rules.
  4. Plan expansion across states. Set rules for branches and review whether the separate Central Trade Union recognition process under Section 27 is relevant later.
